Overview

    ​Since its establishment, the number of students at the College has witnessed continuous growth, reaching a total of 1,092 female students and 811 male students during the academic year 2021/2022, distributed across undergraduate and master's programs.
    In 2019, the College achieved comprehensive international academic accreditation from the Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics (ASIIN) for four programs:
    • Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics.
    • Bachelor of Science in Physics.
    • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
    • Master of Science in Mathematics.
    Additionally, the Bachelor of Science in Biology program obtained conditional programmatic academic accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation for the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.​

    The College comprises the following departments and academic programs:

    1. Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics.
    2. Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics.
    3. ​Bachelor of Science in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics.
    4. Master of Science in Mathematics.
    5. ​Doctorate of Philosophy in Mathematics.


    Department of Physics:

    1. Bachelor of Science in Physics.
    2. Master of Science in Physics.​

    Department of Chemistry:

    1. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
    2. Master of Science in Chemistry.

    Department of Biology:

    1. Bachelor of Science in Biology.
    2. Executive Master of Forensic Science.
    Furthermore, the College excels in scientific research and global publications, consistently ranking first within the university in the Global Publishing Award for ten consecutive years since the inception of the award.

    Brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of this generous homeland, visitors to the College of Science at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University,

    I am pleased and honored, on my behalf and on behalf of all the members of the College of Science, to welcome you to this electronic site, which serves as an important communication platform between the college and the scientific community. We aim to provide comprehensive content about our academic and research programs and departments, hoping that everyone finds what meets their aspirations for information and detailed insights about the college and its various departments.

    The College of Science places great importance on offering distinguished academic programs at both the Bachelor and graduate levels (master and doctorate) in accordance with modern curricula that align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and meet quality and academic accreditation. These programs combine theoretical education with practical application, through equipped laboratories that prepare students for the job market and enhance their personal and scientific skills.

    The college comprises four main departments:

    - Department of Mathematics and Statistics : which offers three Bachelor programs: Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics, and Bachelor of Science in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics. It also offers two graduate programs: Master of Science in Mathematics and Doctorate in Mathematics.

    - Department of Physics : which currently offers two programs: Bachelor of Science in Physics and Master of Science in Physics.

    - Department of Chemistry: which currently offers two programs: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Master of Science in Chemistry.

    - Department of Biology: which offers a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an Executive Master's program in Forensic Science.

    The college is distinguished by a group of faculty members with extensive scientific and practical experience, who have played a pivotal role in enhancing the college's reputation through their active participation in research and educational activities. Despite being a relatively new institution, we have achieved remarkable accomplishments in scientific research, including authoring and translating books, obtaining patents, and publishing in prestigious international journals with high rankings. This excellence has led to the college receiving commendations from the Deanship of Quality and Assessment at the university and recognition from international accreditation teams from the German Accreditation Agency (ASIIN), the American Accreditation Board (ABET), and the National Center for Academic Assessment and Accreditation (NCAAA).

    At the College of Science, we continue our diligent pursuit of ongoing development, working collaboratively, administration, faculty members, and staff, in a spirit of teamwork, committed to achieving the college's goals and advancing it to leadership in our fields at both the local and regional levels. We are committed to ensuring that our educational outcomes are of high quality, meeting the needs and aspirations of the community.
