"The Arithmetic of Cubic Surfaces"

يقدمــــــها سعادة د/ يوسف لزعر ​ - الأستاذ المساعد في قسم الرياضيات والإحصاء - وذلك يــــوم الثلاثاء 13-12- 2016م الســـاعة 10 صـــباحاً في قاعة رقم (3-136) بمبنى كلية العلـــوم.

Abstract: 

The aim of the lecture will be to illustrate how the geometry of an algebraic projective variety can influence the arithmetical features of such varieties. For instance the existence and the density of rational points. The emphasis will be on the geometry of cubic surfaces and more particularly the Del Pezzo case. In latter case we will explicit the action of the Galois group on the set of rational lines lying on these surfaces and provide an application to the study of the group of line bundles.
