1. The applicant must be a faculty member at the university, and must be a PhD holder and working at the time of application.
2. The research must not have received financial support from the university.
3. In the event that two or more researchers from within the university participate in a single research paper, the priority in eligibility for support applications will be given to the corresponding author, followed by the author whose name appears first in the order, and pledges to distribute the support reward to participating researchers from within the university.
4. The program does not support papers that include more than two corresponding authors.
5. The published research paper must be a Research (Article or Review), according to the following:
- For applied colleges (Science, Medicine, Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences, and Nursing): Publish in scientific journals listed in Web of Science database and classified within the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartiles.
- For Humanities and Social Sciences colleges: Publish in scientific journals listed in Web of Science and Scopus and classified within the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartiles.
- For Sharia and Arabic colleges: (Who studied their PhD in Arabic): Publish in scientific journals listed in Web of Science, Scopus, and Arcif and classified within the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartiles.
- For Web of Science database, the journal must be classified in the first, second or third quarter according to the impact factor (JIF) within the Journal Citation Report (JCR) category. For Scopus database, the journal must be classified in the first, second or third quarter according to the SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR): https://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php. Only these two indicators will be considered.
6. The average classification is calculated if the journal is classified in more than one field, and the journal classification is calculated based on the date of submission of the research paper to the journal.
7. Papers published in the Web of Science, and classified within "Emerging Sources Citation Index" are not acc
epted.
8. The authors' affiliation from within the university must be a single affiliation, in the following form:

9. According to the Regulations of Scientific Research and Innovation in Universities, and its Executive Rules approved by University Council Resolution No. (32-6-1446 AH), the author submitting the application shall be financially treated as the principal researcher, and a reward of 8,000 (eight thousand) Saudi riyals is paid to applicants from Applied Colleges, and a reward of 16,000 (sixteen thousand) Saudi riyals is paid to applicants from Sharia and Arabic colleges or Humanities and Social colleges, for each published research paper.
10. It is permissible to apply for support for research papers published after 1/1/2025 AD and meeting the publishing regulations.
11. The maximum ceiling for scientific papers submitted for support by each applicant in one year is 10 papers.
12.The support included in this program is encouraging, subject to the university's discretionary authority, and does not entail the creation or claim of rights by those covered by it.
13. The researcher is committed to ethics of scientific research, ensuring the originality of the research and not publishing it previously, and attaching the required documents and forms.
