The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on behalf of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University wrapped up its involvement in the First Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference in Saudi Universities. King Abdulaziz University organized the conference, which took place at the King Faisal Conference Center in Jeddah from October 21–22, 2025, with the theme "Idea- Innovation-Impact."
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship had an educational booth in the university zone, and the university participated as a knowledge partner in the conference. The center's services, programs, and initiatives in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, business incubation, and development were presented to visitors at this booth. Notable success stories were also featured, like "Sahabat Al-Imam," a student project that came out of the university's business incubator.
Students actively participated in the conference as well. Student Khaled Al-Mutairi showcased his creative business venture, "Lovard," an app that connects Riyadh's flower, gift, and confectionery stores. Students Abdulaziz Abanmi and Raghad Al-Dulaim, meanwhile, showcased their creation, the "Rasid System," an intelligent system that uses GPS and artificial intelligence to identify and use unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for military and security purposes.
The university's participation in this conference builds upon its pioneering role in empowering creative individuals, spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and improving integration with the research, development, and innovation ecosystem in Saudi universities. This helps to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which is to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy, stressed Dr. Yazid bin Masoud Al-Khuraiji, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
The university's dedication to assisting innovators and entrepreneurial endeavors is demonstrated by this involvement, according to Ms. Ibtisam Al-Falej, Assistant Director of the Business Incubator Management. She pointed out that the "Sahabat Al-Imam" business incubator is essential to developing student abilities and turning their concepts into projects and goods with societal and financial worth. Through its involvement, the center also hopes to increase opportunities for collaboration in sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship by exchanging experiences and forming alliances with other participating institutions and centers.
