In the presence of MR. Mustafa bin Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al-Alam, Vice-president of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Knowledge Exchange and International Communications, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dr. Bambang Idgdo, Vice-Rector of University of Muhammadiyah in Malang. The signing ceremony held at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Kuningan.
A number of dignitaries from both universities attended the signing ceremony, including Dr. Abdullah Al-Salami- the Dean of Institute Affairs Abroad, and Dr. Khaled Al-Daham- the Dean of Islamic and Arabic Sciences Institute in Indonesia, and a group of faculty members.
It is noteworthy that The signed MoU was based on signed agreements between the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Indonesia in areas of scientific cooperation and teaching of Arabic language. The MoU is aimed to promote the relationship between Al-Imam University and University of Muhammadiyah in Malang.
