Graduation Projects
Chemical Engineering (ChE) students are required to complete a graduation project (GP) in the final year of their undergraduate studies to graduate. The objective of the graduation project is to enrich the student's knowledge by allowing him to apply his acquired undergraduate experiences and engineering skills. The cumulative student's education in science courses, engineering courses, labs, and practical training will be reflected in his graduation project and will prepare him for a professional career after graduation. Another objective is to help graduating engineers find a future career. Hence, it is recommended that the graduation topic be related to the country's needs and development plan.
Graduation Project I (ChE 493) is a one-semester course of one credit hour, while Graduation Project II (ChE 494) is also a one-semester course of three credit hours.
The Chemical Engineering Department encourages teamwork, but the maximum number of students per project must not exceed 4. The faculty member's (supervisor) role guides the students throughout the project.
