Graduation Projects

Civil Engineering (CE) students are required to complete a graduation project (GP) in the final year of their undergraduate studies to graduate. The objective of the graduation project is to enrich the student's knowledge by allowing him to apply his acquired undergraduate experiences and engineering skills.  The cumulative student's education in science courses, engineering courses, labs, and practical training, will be reflected in their graduation project and will prepare the student for a professional career after graduation. Another objective is to help graduating engineers find a future career. Hence, it is recommended that the graduation topic should be related to the needs of the country and development plan.
Graduation Project I(CE 493) is a one-semester course of three credit hours while Graduation Project II (CE 494) is also a one-semester course of three credit hours.
The Civil Engineering Department encourages teamwork, but the maximum number of students per project must not exceed 4.  The faculty member's (supervisor) role is to guide the students throughout the entire length of the project.
