Bio

Sulaiman Al-sowayan is an Associate Professor of Electronics and Communications in Electrical Engineering Department, College of Engineering, Al Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. He works on Optoelectronics, and Optical Communications. His focus is on optical fiber communications, optical sensors, and electromagnetic applications. He worked as a part time consultant in the area of fiber optic communications for several institutions in the government and the private sector. He is an author and coauthor of more than 20 publications. In the past years he received research grants from Deanship of Academic Research at Al Imam University. He is currently working on modes modeling in optical fiber waveguides, and Optical Coherence Tomography.
