Bio

Dr. Rashid Khan is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, College of Engineering, Al Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University since 2015. His research interest includes computational mechanics of materials, mathematical and numerical modeling of crystal, transformation, and twinning induced plasticity in metals, multiscale modeling of deformation behavior, design and optimization of down-hole tubular-mandrel system for enhanced oil recovery. He has currently working on research projects related to: (i) multiscale modeling of transformation and twinning plasticity through mechanics and thermodynamics based theory, (ii) Numerical modeling of slit-rolling process.
