Undoubtedly, any human cultural progress would be impossible without the channels of communication in science and knowledge kept accessible to all peoples and civilizations: translation is one of the most important channels to achieve key objectives in this respect. Therefore, we are fully aware of the considerable significance of upgrading translation and translators in our peaceful country. The officials in charge of the Institute and its strategies have come to realise that the Institute is better divided into three main departments: Department of Translation, Department of Training, and Department of Research, Development and Quality. Additionally, the administration of the Institute – in accordance with its strategic plan – continues to recruit national and regional professionals and experts with the aim of developing human resources for ensuring sustained development and for realizing an academic training environment which promotes the institute to an international level. Officially, the Royal approval of the decree of the Council of Higher Education (No: 39/66/1432) to establish the Institute of Translation and Arabization, was issued in session number sixty-six held on 20/10/1432 H. The council's decision was based on an initial decision by Imam University Council number (Issue No: 2220-1430/1431 AH) taken in the sixth session held on 17/7/1431 H. effectively, the institute started to be operational on 30/1/1433 H.
