Saudi Education Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh on Sunday stressed the importance of “qualitative, flexible education” and finding ways to overcome challenges through “creative planning, resilience, and quick implementation.” 

Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amri, the rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, said the institution had worked hard to improve program quality, get most programs accredited locally and internationally, and achieve Vision 2030 objectives aimed at raising the university's position in international rankings. 

It was recently listed in the top 200-300 in the world in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2022. 
He told the conference that the institution continued to work hard during the pandemic and had achieved remarkable research results. The most notable was an increase in the number of publications last year. 

The rate of faculty publication had increased to one paper per faculty member each year. It highlighted the university's desire to foster a conducive atmosphere for research, encourage accomplishment and innovation, and raise its profile locally, regionally, and worldwide.

Establishment of the Applied College

The Applied College was established in 1405 AH under the name of the Deanship of the University Center for Community Service and Continuing Education. Since its inception, it has endeavored to promote and achieve one of the most important functions of the university by serving the community and its members at all levels and by meeting their various needs and interests. 

In 1441 AH, the Interim Committee for Higher Education, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Education, approved a new structure for Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, which included changing the name of the Deanship of the University Center for Community Service and Continuing Education to the College of Continuing Education and Community Service, to complete the college’s long history with a number of achievements, results, and educational programs Outstanding training. 

In the year 1442 AH, the University Affairs Council issued a decision No. 9/4/1442 dated 9/14/1442 AH, which included the transformation of community colleges, colleges of applied studies and community service colleges in universities to become all applied colleges. Transformation into an applied college in accordance with the executive decision plan and its accompanying formula. 

The college was able - praise be to God - during the previous period and since the date of its establishment until today, to gain the confidence of many of those enrolled in its programs and beneficiaries of its services from members of the community and its governmental and private institutions.  

It meets the needs of the labor market, and contributes to building a knowledge-based economy and sustainable development.

The college was able - praise be to God - during its course from the date of its inception until today to gain the confidence of many of those enrolled in its programs and beneficiaries of its services from members of the community and its governmental and private institutions, and it has concluded effective national educational and training partnerships that are distinct and successful, achieving the university's vision, mission and goals, and with ambitious plans and various initiatives. It meets the needs of the labor market and contributes to building a knowledge-based economy and sustainable development. 

All of this was achieved with sincere efforts by the college’s former deans, deans, heads of academic departments, and all its employees, to raise its level and improve the quality of its services. And contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the university, as it expanded the diversity of its professional programs, and the list of beneficiaries of its services increased from students, scholars, and trainees from the government and private sectors year after year, and contributed to creating an added value in the knowledge economy and sustainable development.

The College seeks to develop new educational programs that keep pace with the requirements and needs of the labor market in oversight and integrity, human resources management, quality management, medical secretarial, smart internet systems, governance and public policies. 

Genesis: 

The Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service was established in 1405 under the name of Deanship of the University Center for Community Service and Continuing Education. Since its inception, it has sought to enhance the university's contribution to achieving one of the university's most important functions by serving the community and its members at all levels and meeting their different needs and interests. 

Change the title, vision and goals:

Goals, programs and aspirations: 

The college aims to connect the university with the community by establishing continuous communication with all its institutions and sectors to achieve the university's active participation in the development process in the Kingdom, developing continuing education programs and serving the community, keeping up with the latest educational and professional sciences and techniques, linking university experiences and knowledge to the scientific and practical life of the individual and helping him to employ the experiences and knowledge gained in increasing his productivity. 

Since the launch of imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University's strategic plan 2021-2025, the most important goal has been quality and leadership in education, so the Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service has developed its goals to match the university's aspirations and objectives. In its objectives, programs and community activities, the College is directly linked to the strategic themes and objectives of the University's plan, specifically in: 

The first is teaching, learning and defamation. 

The second focus is: "Partnerships and community responsibility. 

The first strategic objective: competitive educational outcomes that are knowledgeably qualified and knowledgeable to meet the needs of the labour market. 

The fourth strategic objective is effective community and national partnerships and contributions. 

The College also implements many specialized and distinguished educational, training and community programs that are carefully designed according to high scientific and professional standards including knowledge and skills that are in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, and the requirements of national development to meet the needs of the labor market, where the College has established a number of specialized educational programs in a variety of fields accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and ranges from one to two years depending on specialization, and includes two categories: 

Category 1: Intermediate diploma programs for high school diploma holders or their equivalent. 

Category 2: Higher Diploma Program for Undergraduate Degree Holders. 

The implementation and management of these programs is based on two scientific departments of the College: 

    • the Department of Applied Sciences
    • the Computer Diploma (Programming)
    • the Computer Diploma (Network Technology)
    • the Department of Humanities and Management, which include: Diploma of Law, Family Guidance Diploma, Business Diploma, Accounting Diploma, Marketing Diploma, Public Relations Diploma, English Diploma, Editorial Diploma and Secretarial. 

New programs: 

The College seeks to develop new educational programs that meet the requirements and needs of the labor market in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 to be more professional and specialized in the various areas needed by all segments of society (in oversight and integrity, human resources management, quality management, medical secretarial, smart internet systems, governance and public policies), and other specialized quality and professional programs that will be launched soon, God willing. 

Software sections provided: 

The programs offered at the college are divided into three sections: 

    • Training programmes for members of Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University (faculty, members of the governing body, students) 
    • Training programmes for government agencies and ngos. 
    • General training programmes for all segments of society. 

 Training programmes include various areas:  

intellectual security, cybersecurity, quality, education and scientific research, as well as legal, administrative, technical, financial and other areas, and the duration of training courses varies from long training courses to eight weeks, and short training courses of a few hours or days. The College is also currently working on several specialized training programmes to meet the needs of the labour market, job requirements, and provide professional and professional certificates in coordination and cooperation with its donors. 

Effective partnerships: 

The Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service promotes active partnerships in community service and community responsibility to contribute to high quality outcomes, reach a conscious and educated society, active national arms in building society, promote career performance at home and abroad, and invest its human and material resources while serving society and contributing to solving its problems. Baseera Association holds its eighth general meeting in Riyadh. 

The Saudi Scientific Society for Advocacy Studies "Baseera" will hold its eighth general assembly meeting next Wednesday evening, 22 Dhul-Hijjah via video broadcast. 

Ahmed bin Ali Al-Khulaifi, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, explained that the Society is a scientific society to which specialists and holders of scientific certificates in advocacy studies are affiliated, and it exercises its activities in developing theoretical and applied knowledge, and providing consultations and scientific studies, for the public and private sectors, in accordance with the provisions contained in the rules governing associations. science in Saudi universities. 

He stated that the Saudi Society for Advocacy Studies aims to develop scientific thought in the field of advocacy studies and work to develop and revitalize it, and seeks to achieve scientific communication for the members of the Society. Scientific studies in the field of advocacy studies between professional bodies and institutions inside and outside the Kingdom. 

For his part, the Secretary of the Society, Dr. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Khamis, noted that the meeting will address a number of topics on its agenda, including the presentation of the administrative and financial report for the sixth session, and some programs and activities will be discussed, in addition to the election of a new board of directors for the Society for its next seventh session. 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Khulaifi urged all members of the association, men and women who hold working membership or affiliation membership, to the importance of attendance and participation, stressing the need to renew the subscription and update the data before the meeting date on the association’s website bsserah.com

895 students graduated from musk's job rehabilitation program

Coordinated by the Office of Transformation Management, 895 students completed the "Future Career Path Essentials" graduate program in its second full-language version in Arabic. The program targets university students who are coming to graduate in their last two years of university, to prepare and support them in developing their careers, and to provide them with the tools to succeed effective future leaders in competitive work environments, and is designed in partnership with the leading American professional training company Full bridge, to provide aspiring students with the ability to improve their abilities and skills in capturing career opportunities, and to succeed in developing their careers and providing them with these skills through a remote training program (through the Internet). 

The participation and completion rate in this second edition of this program is three times higher than the first version, which was in English, where the office of transformation management announced the program in all the university's media platforms and applications were received and transferred to the musk charitable foundation supervising the program. 

This program is one of the fruits of constructive cooperation between imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university and the prince Mohammed bin Salman charitable foundation (musk) under the cooperation agreement signed between the two parties. 

Opening the door to initiatives on human capacity development and privatization programmes 

The office of vision realization at imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university is pleased to announce the opening of initiatives on two operational programs of Saudi Arabia vision 2030, the human capacity development program and the privatization program.
