3. A plan for therapy and counseling should be formulated according to individual

The Dean of the College of Social Sciences indicated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pays great attention to the World Mental Health Day and promoting awareness of it in society and at the national level, as the Kingdom has witnessed a remarkable development in the field of mental health in recent years, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken several measures to promote mental health and support individuals with mental health problems. The mental healthcare infrastructure in the Kingdom has been developed, including the provision of health facilities, psychiatric clinics and specialized hospitals. Training and qualification of mental health cadres to provide professional and specialized services has also been strengthened, in addition to implementing awareness and educational campaigns targeting the community in general, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of mental health and reducing the stigma associated with it. Events, awareness lectures and workshops have been organized to enhance knowledge and understanding about mental health, and the Saudi government is also adopting national policies and plans to promote mental health and improve health care in this area, paying special attention to vulnerable and needy groups such as children, adolescents, the elderly and people with special needs, and working to provide them with appropriate support and care.
For his part, the Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Ibrahim bin Qassim Hakami, explained that the World Health Organization celebrates this year under the slogan (mental health is a universal human right), as the results of studies and statistics indicated that one in eight people globally suffer from mental health disorders, and out of every four people suffering from these disorders, three people receive inadequate treatments - or no care at all, and many of them face stigma And discrimination and social character that may prevent them from completing treatment or follow-up to achieve psychological balance and get rid of the magnitude of these problems and disorders.
Dr. Hakami stated that mental health is an integral part of public health, and physical health is not complete without a high level of mental health, which includes: psychological and emotional peace, achieving social balance, and affecting the way of thinking, feeling, working, and communicating with others. In coincidence with the training program of students of Sociology and Social Service of the Saudi Centre for Narcotic Drugs Control and Psychotropic Substances Studies "Haseen", affiliating with Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, a group of them have paid a visit recently to Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health at Riyadh city.
In the agenda of the visit, Mr. Hamad Al-Otaibi – from Al-Amal Complex – has enlightened the visiting students about the efforts of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in mental health area and the establishment of the complex and its development.
The visiting students were also being briefed about addiction and drug types and the preventive and therapeutic role of the family and the guidance treatment units inside the complex. 1. Academic advisors should recognize psychologically ill students during the academic year and academic advising sessions..

3. A plan for therapy and counseling should be formulated according to individual needs.
4. Psychologically ill students should receive intensive psychological therapy after the approval of their parents/family members.
5. Academic advisors should follow up academic achievement of psychologically ill students and compliance with management plans and raise a confidential report to the head of academic guidance committee.
6. Academic guidance committee should discus all reports of psychologically ill students and approved a final report that include full assessment and sufficient follow up including action plans.

Then the student Abdulaziz Al-Ati presented the axis of academic adaptation and its relationship to psychological balance, and he defined academic adaptation as the student's integration with the study environment, and his relations with others, such as colleagues, professors and scientific attitudes, which contribute to the development of students' confidence in themselves, build their personalities and enhance their motivation towards creativity and excellence, and one of the manifestations of adaptation Study is psychological comfort and follow-up lessons.
Al-Ati also mentioned that the factors affecting academic adaptation are the home environment (the home environment has an effective impact on the student's adaptation at school, because the difficulties that the student faces at home would negatively affect his school production), and the study environment (as it constitutes a very important factor in The student's adaptation and adaptation to his studies and academic achievement. Psychological balance is a state of security and psychological stability for the student, which in turn affects his personality and his thinking related to society and the surrounding environment, which increases his motivation to learn and increase his achievement and knowledge.

Al-Ati concluded with some tips that help the student's psychological stability, and that the parents should play the primary role in standing by the student and providing adequate support, and encouraging him to talk about the problem in order to reduce psychological pressure on him, and it is very necessary to secure a calm atmosphere at home; To encourage the student to study through an appropriate and comfortable environment that reflects positively on himself, and to encourage the student to organize his study times; To get enough time to study, to engage in activities such as performing sports and other activities, and to stay away from distractions and not use them during study time.

The program included "six awareness sessions" on the first session "Work-Life Balance" presented by Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Al Amir, in which he reviewed the importance of balance in the lives of individuals to achieve productivity and happiness.
In the second session, Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Manahi discussed "Improving the work environment and mental health", pointing out how the supportive work environment contributes to enhancing the mental health of employees and increasing their job satisfaction.
The third session discussed "Choosing the Right Career Path and its Relationship to Mental Health", presented by Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Suhaibani, during which he addressed how choosing a career path affects mental health and ways to achieve professional satisfaction.
The program also included a session presented by PhD students in the clinical track on "Early Non-Adaptive Schemes and their Impact on the Work Environment", presented by Ms. Kholoud Al-Zahrani, Ms. Sarah Al-Shenifi, and Ms. Shaima Al-Agha and Mr. Marwa Al-Shammari, where they reviewed the impact of these schemes on the behavior of individuals in the work environment.
The program concluded yesterday, Wednesday, with a session on "Psychological Enhancers of Employee Well-Being in the Work Environment" presented by Prof. Dr. Abdul Murid Al-Abdali, highlighting strategies to enhance employee well-being.
It is noteworthy that the program will witness today, Thursday, training courses entitled "Balance Your Life" presented by Dr. Maram Al-Manea, which shed light on building the concept of balance and practical ways and means to enhance balance between life roles, and identify the different roles of life and their importance.
The program witnessed the active participation of university students, where they discussed vital topics aimed at promoting mental health and improving the work environment.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Muhammad Al-Kharashi, stressed the importance of this forum, pointing to the university's keenness to support its students psychologically and socially, which contributes to enabling them to continue their educational journey efficiently, and qualifies them to be active members of their society.
